Manteca, Calif. - A longtime pharmacist at Doctors Hospital of Manteca is retiring after more than 41 years of service at the hospital.

Tony-Lin-RetirementTony Lin started working at Doctors Hospital of Manteca on January 14, 1980, and will retire on September 30, 2021. Lin has truly become a mentor to many on the pharmacy team over his years of service. Doctors Hospital of Manteca will forever be grateful for his dedication to our patients, hospital and community.

During retirement, Lin says he’s looking forward to spending time with his family, traveling and of course, relaxing.

Here are some comments from DHM colleagues:

“Dr. Lin has played an integral role both directly and behind the scenes, bringing a wealth of knowledge in pharmaceutical treatments, that has kept our patients safe while helping them heal from their diseases. He has always been a model of humility despite his many contributions. It was a pleasure and honor to have him accept our hospital’s award this summer as the Chamber of Commerce Large Business of the Year, made even more remarkable by the fact that he is one of our longest serving teammates.” – Murali N. Naidu, M.D., CEO of Doctors Hospital of Manteca

“When I started here at DHM as a student, Tony was one of my mentors. Over time, we became colleagues and more importantly friends. He has a wealth of knowledge and I have learned a lot from him over the years. While he will be dearly missed, we are also happy that he will be getting some much deserved time off to be with his family. He has always been eager to help in any way he could and has been an integral part of the pharmacy family. Wishing him the best for his well-deserved retirement.” – Veneeta Maharaj, Director of Pharmacy Services

“I will miss working with Tony. Over the years, I have learned so much from him. Most of all, I will miss his kindness, compassion, and considerate nature.” – Jayshree Modi, Pharmacist

“When I started working at DHM over twenty years ago, Tony was already a veteran pharmacist with lots of experience to teach a younger pharmacist like myself. Not only has he been a wealth of knowledge, but also a true pleasure to work with. His patience and calm demeanor in an often hectic environment are inspirational to me.” – Scott Clinton, Pharmacist

“I always looked forward to the days when I worked with Tony. He never was tired of my constant questions. He was always calm no matter how hectic it got. I admire his work ethic and his willingness to help others. When I’m unsure of a situation, I’ll ask myself, ‘What would Tony do?’ Thank you for being a positive role model.” – Olivia Ng, Pharmacist

“Having a wonderful person as you as my coworker has been a gift. Wishing you the best health, happiness, and relaxation in your next adventure. Happy retirement, Tony!” – Brandi Horne, Pharmacy Support Staff Supervisor

Tony is an original old school pharmacist and he will be dearly missed. Tony, it is now time for your well-deserved, never-ending weekends!” – Jamie Davis, Pharmacy Technician

“Tony is a consistent team player and is always willing to help out. He always presents a positive attitude and enjoys being at work and interacting with coworkers and patients.” – Benjamin Joe, Clinical Coordinator

“I’ve known Tony my entire pharmacy life! We both worked a side job together at Modesto psych for a short time. He is a devoted Christian believer and dearly loves his family. The pharmacy and hospital will miss a devoted man but the world gains a happy retiree.” – Katy Marconi, Former Pharmacy Director
