Doctors Hospital of Manteca Launches Social Media Campaign Focused on Men’s Health
Nov 6, 2020Doctors Hospital of Manteca has launched a social media campaign to help raise awareness about men’s health in honor of Movember.
Movember is an annual global event involving the growing of mustaches during the month of November to bring awareness and focus solely on men’s health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health. It’s the perfect time to talk about preventable health problems and early detection.
“Our health should always be a priority, especially right now as we continue to deal with COVID-19. Eating right, exercising and keeping up with our immunizations are all crucial to a strong immune system,” said Murali Naidu, M.D., CEO of Doctors Hospital of Manteca. “November is a great time for us to focus on men’s health and talk about what we can do to stay healthy.”
Throughout November on its social media pages, Doctors Hospital of Manteca will be providing tips and facts for community members to share with the men in their lives. For example, the importance of routine health screenings, staying up-to-date on all immunizations and reminding men that if something isn’t right, see a physician.
“Guys, if you have a health issue, take it seriously and see your physician. It isn’t always easy to prioritize our health when we’re busy caring for our families or going to work, but the healthier you are, the better you’ll be able to do those important things for longer,” Dr. Naidu added.
Doctors Hospital of Manteca offers free online health assessments that help patients identify issues and areas to discuss with their physician such as heart health, colorectal cancer, joint pain and strength training. To find a physician, call (855) 283-3668.
