Doctors Hospital of Manteca Auxiliary Seeking New Volunteers

Are you looking to make a difference in people’s lives? Volunteering at Doctors Hospital of Manteca can be a great way to have a profound impact on people in our community.

The Doctors Hospital of Manteca Auxiliary is a group of men and women who are dedicated to serving our community. Volunteers are a vital part of the hospital, providing a great resource for patients, families, visitors and employees.

“Volunteering with us is a great way to give back to our community, learn about healthcare and be part of something special,” said Murali Naidu, M.D., CEO of Doctors Hospital of Manteca. “Our volunteers provide thousands of hours of compassionate service every year to help enrich the experience of our patients, their families and our hospital staff. We are so grateful for their commitment and dedication to our hospital and our community.”

Members of the Auxiliary volunteer a minimum of 100 hours per year. Responsibilities are assigned based on each volunteer’s special skills and talents. They serve in many areas of the hospital including:

• Patient Floor Service – Deliver newspapers, flowers and food trays to units, escort visitors and patients to their destinations, and offer general assistance as necessary.
• Hospitality Desk – Greet patients and visitors in the Main Lobby, provide assistance by giving directions, and additional services as needed.
• Gift Shop – Manage the Doctors Hospital of Manteca Gift Shop, which carries a lovely selection of novelty balloons, cards and gifts.
