Measuring and comparing quality performance is essential in assessing patient care and allocating resources where improvement is desired. In today's dynamic healthcare industry, breast centers are faced with providing quality care while simultaneously keeping costs under control.
The staff at Doctors Hospital of Manteca must not only be familiar with existing standards of care but must also be aware of new advances in technology. Doctors Hospital of Manteca actively ensures it provides the best possible quality care to breast patients in the communities it serves.
Doctors Hospital of Manteca offers state-of-the art imaging services in the Women’s Imaging Center, and personalized patient care with a dedicated Nurse Navigator. The mission of the Breast Health Program is to provide a continuum of services under one roof, and easy accessibility by patients and professionals throughout the area. The philosophy behind this mission is to shorten the wait time from detection of a lump, or an abnormal mammogram to a diagnosis within five working days, therefore alleviating undue stress and anxiety for the patient.
The National Consortium of Breast Centers promotes excellence in breast health care for the general public through a network of diverse professionals dedicated to the active exchange of ideas and resources. It facilitates collaborative research opportunities on issues of breast health; and developed a set of core measures to define, improve and sustain quality standards in breast health care programs and for quality performance in all types of breast healthcare facilities.
