Doctors Hospital of Manteca CSO Earns Designation

Manteca, Calif. – The chief strategy officer for Doctors Hospital of Manteca, Neil Pithadia, has become a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE).

ACMPE is the certification entity of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). Fellowship in ACMPE’s program demonstrates mastery and expertise in the profession of medical practice management.

To achieve Fellowship, Pithadia first earned the Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) designation by passing rigorous examinations that assess knowledge of the broad scope of medical practice management. This includes business operations, financial management, human resources management, information management, organizational governance, patient care systems, quality management and risk management. In addition, Pithadia completed a minimum of 50 continuing education credit hours to achieve CMPE status.

To earn Fellowship, Pithadia submitted a professional paper, “Understanding Blockchain: Opportunities in Healthcare,” documenting the objectives and results of an investigation into a healthcare management topic.

Today, MGMA membership is comprised of more than 6,600 individuals who have attained CMPE or ACMPE Fellow status or who seek certification.

Pithadia joined Doctors Hospital of Manteca as chief strategy officer in March. Prior to his current role, Pithadia was the director at Tenet Healthcare Physician Resources. He has many years of experience in healthcare ranging from outpatient management of five ambulatory services surgical divisions to practice administrator of a multi-specialty practice.

Pithadia earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell Molecular Biology at the University of Michigan, a Master of Science Degree in Medical Informatics at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and an MBA from Texas Tech University – Rawls College of Business. Most recently, he completed a course in Managing Healthcare Delivery at Harvard Business School.
