Doctors Hospital of Manteca Celebrates Nurses for National Nurses Week
May 8, 2023Manteca, Calif. – Doctors Hospital of Manteca is proud to honor its nurses during National Nurses Week, an annual celebration that recognizes the critical role nurses perform in the hospital and community.
“We are so thankful for all of our nurses and the hard work and dedication they put in every day caring for our patients. They are committed to making sure we provide high-quality, compassionate care to every person who comes through our doors,” said Tina Burch, Chief Nursing Officer at Doctors Hospital of Manteca. “This celebratory week is about paying tribute to our nurses and recognizing the strong impact they have on our patients, their loved ones and our community.”
Nurses have many roles within the hospital – staff nurse, nursing leader, educator, infection preventionist, nurse practitioner and more, and they serve these roles with a passion for the profession and a strong commitment to patient safety.
National Nurses Week (May 6-12) is celebrated annually to coincide with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, on May 12. Like Florence Nightingale, the nurses at Doctors Hospital of Manteca serve with passion and dedication. They represent a profession of advocacy and strength and are respected for their devotion to their patients, their loved ones and each other.
Doctors Hospital of Manteca celebrated its nurses on May 1-5 with special theme days throughout the week in honor of Nurses Week.
